Detailed Comparison of all Mix Gear

Main-hand

1. Skullcrusher
  • Rng ATK 21%
  • Army ATK 28%
  • Inf DEF 35%

Rare Material – 9 x Mutated BrainMutated Brain (Hell Drider)

Skullcrusher is the best main-hand piece to use because of its 28% army attack in addition to the range attack, but it is quite costly to make.

2. Frostwing Greatsword
  • Inf ATK 28%
  • Cav ATK 28%
  • Rng ATK 17.5%

Rare Material – 4 x Frostwing HeartFrostwing Heart (Frostwing)

Frostwing sword lacks range stats compared to skullcrusher, but is very easy to make. It’s makes a good starter piece for a mix set.

Off-hand

1. Eternal Codex
Eternal Codex
  • Rng ATK 49%
  • Cav ATK 28%
  • Cav HP 28%

Rare Material – 8 x Cursed Skull Cursed Skull (Grim Reaper)

Eternal Codex gives Range and Cavalry mix stats. It is the best off-hand piece to make for mixed gear to use in attacks, and also has the best stats for range blast gear. Also it’s comparatively cheaper to make since the rare material is relatively easier to get and does not get used anywhere else.

2. Venom Blade
Venom Blade
  • Inf ATK 35%
  • Rng ATK 35%
  • Army HP 14%
  • Rng DEF 14%

Rare Material – 15 x Dune Core Dune Core (Serpent Gladiator)

Venom Blade gives Infantry and Range mix stats. Overall, the total stats are quite similar to Eternal Codex, however it is more costly to make since it requires 15 rare materials. It’s also not useful for any of the blast sets, so not recommended to make unless needed for Inf Rng mix set.

3. Spirit Axe
Spirit Axe
  • Inf ATK 35%
  • Cav ATK 35%
  • Cav HP 14%
  • Army DEF 14%

Rare Material – 15 x Rotten Blood Rotten Blood (Necrosis)

Spirit Axe gives Infantry and Cavalry mix stats. Although, also similar in stats to Eternal Codex, it’s much more costly to make since it requires 15 rare material and therefore I don’t recommend making it.

4. Winter Mitts
Winter Mitts
  • Rng ATK 14%
  • Army HP 35%
  • Army DEF 35%
  • Inf DEF 45.5%

Rare Material – 4 x Festive Bell Festive Bell (Snow Beast)

Winter Mitts although low in attack boost, make up for it with the very high army HP boost. I would pick this over Eternal Codex for defending rallies. During defense HP is quite important since you have a large number of troops and boosting their HP means less of your troops die and can keep attacking for longer. This piece is also quite easy to make.

5. Dark Aegis
Dark Aegis
  • Inf ATK 14%
  • Army ATK 14%

Rare Material – 1 x Mutated BrainMutated Brain (Hell Drider)

Dark Aegis gives a good Army ATK boost and is one of the easiest to make gears in the game. It is a good and easy piece to make for a starter set.

Helmet

1. Bumblehelm
Bumblehelm
  • Cav ATK 42%
  • Rng ATK 42%
  • Army HP 28%

Rare Material – 10 x Queen Venom Queen Venom (Queen Bee)

Bumblehelm gives Cavalry and Range stats. It is the best helmet for mix gear, and also for cavalry blast gear. This piece is moderately difficult to make, specially compared to Beast Helm.

2. Serpent Helm
Serpent Helm
  • Inf ATK 42%
  • Rng ATK 42%
  • Inf HP 21%
  • Army DEF 35%

Rare Material – 15 x Dune Core Dune Core (Serpent Gladiator)

Serpent Helm gives Infantry and Ranged stats. Overall this piece has slightly lesser stats compared to Bumblehelm. While they are similar in ATK stats, this piece is somewhat lacking in HP. It is also more costly to make since it requires 15 rare materials from Serpent Gladiator, hence I don’t recommend making it.

3. Beast Helm
Beast Helm
  • Inf ATK 42%
  • Cav ATK 35%
  • Army HP 21%
  • Travel Speed 49%

Rare Material – 10 x Blood Sucker Blood Sucker (Saberfang)

Beast Helm gives Infantry and Cavalry stats. It is comparatively easier to make, while being still close in stats to the above 2 pieces. It is a good option to start out when making your first set.

Armor

1. Firewall Plate
Firewall Plate
  • Inf ATK 28%
  • Cav ATK 42%
  • Siege ATK 42%
  • Army HP 21%

Rare Material – 8 x Ancient Blueprints Ancient Blueprints (Mecha Trojan)

Firewall Plate gives Infantry and Cavalry stats. It is the best armor for mix set and practically the only piece that works well here. It is comparatively easy to make since the rare materials are just used here.

2. Hardened Carapace
Hardened Carapace
  • Cav ATK 35%
  • Rng ATK 35%
  • Army DEF 14%

Rare Material – 5 x Queen Venom Queen Venom (Queen Bee)

Hardened Carapace gives Cavalry and Ranged stats. However, it is a poor replacement for Firewall Plate in terms of stats. It is also more difficult to make since Queen Bee Venoms are hard to obtain and are also required for Bumblehelm.

Legs

1. Storm Tasset
Storm Tasset
  • Inf ATK 42%
  • Cav ATK 42%
  • Army HP 14%
  • Army DEF 28%

Rare Material – 11 x Glistening Pearl Glistening Pearl (Tidal Titan)

Storm Tasset gives Infantry and Cavalry mix stats. It is the best leg to make for mix gear set, but is moderately difficult to make since it need 11 pearls.

2. Blizzard Pants
Blizzard Pants
  • Rng ATK 42%
  • Cav ATK 42%
  • Army HP 16.8%
  • Army DEF 14%

Rare Material – 15 x Ambergris Crystal Ambergris Crystal (Arctic Flipper)

Blizzard Pants gives Ranged and Cavalry stats. It also has similar stats as Storm Tasset, but is comparatively costly since it requires 15 rare materials.

3. Dragon’s Talons
Dragon's Talons
  • Inf ATK 28%
  • Rng ATK 42%
  • Army HP 21%

Rare Material – 8 x Glowing Eye Glowing Eye (Blackwing)

Dragon’s Talons give Infantry and Ranged stats. Although it is slightly lesser in stats compared to the above 2 pieces, it is relatively cheaper to make and is a good option for your starter set while you work on making Storm Tassets.

Accessory

1. Ambrosial Cup
Ambrosial Cup
  • Inf ATK 35%
  • Rng ATK 35%
  • Inf HP 21%
  • Rng HP 21%

Rare Material – 13 x Glowing Halo Glowing Halo (Bon Appeti)

Ambrosial Cups give Infantry and Ranged stats. They are the best accessories to make for mix set, however, they are quite hard to make and it will take a long time to upgrade all 3 cups. The cups are also needed for infantry and ranged blast sets, so you can work on them slowly.

2. Polar Ring
Polar Ring
  • Cav ATK 35%
  • Rng ATK 35%
  • Cav HP 21%
  • Rng HP 21%

Rare Material – 18 x Ambergris Crystal Ambergris Crystal (Arctic Flipper)

Polar Ring gives Cavalry and Ranged stats. The overall stats are exactly same as Ambrosial Cup. However, it will be comparatively more costly to make this piece since it requires 18 rare materials. But this is also a good piece to make for cavalry and range blast gear. You can mix Ambrosial Cups and Polar Ring in your mix gear set.

3. Book of the Dead
Book of the Dead
  • Inf ATK 35%
  • Cav ATK 35%
  • Inf HP 21%
  • Cav Def 28%

Rare Material – 18 x Rotten Blood Rotten Blood (Necrosis)

Book the Dead gives infantry and cavalry stats. The stats are similar to the Polar Ring and Ambrosial Cups, although slightly lesser in HP. These are also comparatively costly to make since they require 18 rare material. Don’t recommend making them, unless needed for inf-cav mix set.

4. Blight Ring
Blight Ring
  • Rng ATK 19.6%
  • Army DEF 21%
  • Army HP 21%
  • Wall DEF Boost 35%

Rare Material – 7 x Corrosive Toxin Corrosive Toxin (Mega Maggot)

Blight Ring is not great in ATK stats since it only gives Range ATK, but it gives Army HP & DEF. It is also easy to make and might be a good option to use while you work on Ambrosial Cups or Polar Ring.

5. Burning Scroll
Burning Scroll
  • Army ATK 12.6%
  • Army HP 12.6%
  • Timber Production 49%

Rare Material – 3 x Mutated Brain Mutated Brain (Hell Drider)

Bruning Scrolls have good army atk stats, and cheap to make hence a good option for starter set. However, but they use Mutated Brain from Hell Drider, which is also needed for Skullcrusher so would not recommend spending making them.

Ending Notes

Mixed gear is slightly subjective, and varies based on the situation. It may be good to have balanced stats for some cases, or boost your frontline in others. HP also plays a very important role in defense and is an important factor to consider. As a general rule it’s best to use gear that boosts all 3 or at least 2 troop types.

With the introduction of new labyrinth and tycoon challenge, it has also become comparatively easier to make gear from new monsters giving more options for mix set.

    • Hey Roger, no I didn’t add a section for champ mixed gear.
Almost all champ pieces in the game give army ATK or HP or atk for more than 1 troop type, so whatever champ piece you have is generally better to use than non-champ gear, it would depend on what piece you are choosing to make 🙂
If there are any specific questions about champ gear, I can try to answer those 🙂

      • Thank you very much for you reply. Your work is absolutely brilliant. Well written, very easy to understand, straight to the point, most informative and above all, it is extremely useful. Thank you so much for making such a tremendous effort to educate us and help us make the correction decisions. I would be lost without it and would have wasted a lot of money in wrong decision. Well done.

    • Hey, for range blast ambrosial cup is better. For mix gear, the cup has slightly higher stats, best piece depends on the use.

If using for defense ring maybe be better to use despite overall slightly lesser stats due to the high Army HP, so that less of your troops die.

  2. How would you go about Jeweling the non champ mixed set mate? Without impeding non champ blast gear or constantly having to change out jewels.

    Reply
    • Depends on your pieces and stats, can keep atk jewels of 2 types in most pieces, for example in ambrosial cups, you can keep inf and rang atk jewels, and one monster jewel for blast. Can also use different pieces in different blast sets to avoid rejeweling.
