Detailed Comparison of all Cavalry Gear

Main-hand

1. Champion Edge
Champion Edge
  • Cav ATK 49%
  • Army ATK 21%
  • Army DEF 23.8%
  • Research Speed 21%

Rare Material – 8 x Crimson Mane Crimson Mane

Champion Edge is the best main-hand for cavalry blast. It has much higher stats compared to non champ gear, giving a total of 70% ATK and 23.8% DEF. Although quite costly requiring 8 manes, the stats difference might make it worth getting.

2. Eon Axe
Eon Axe
  • Cav ATK 52.5%
  • Cav HP 14%
  • Cav DEF 14%

Rare Material – 7 x Tusker's Rage Gawrilla’s Rage (Gawrilla)

Eon Axe is the best non-champ main hand for cavalry, giving 52.5% ATK, 14% HP and 14% DEF. With the new Labyrinth Challenge, it’s easier to get this gear now. It requires 7 rare material, so it’s not insanely hard to make. It’s a great piece to make, however it diverts material away from Rowdy Resolve accessory, so I would recommend making it after the accessories, or go for the champ piece directly.

3. Horn Cudgel
Horn Cudgel
  • Cav ATK 42%
  • Cav DEF 21%
  • Trap DEF 49%

Rare Material – 3 x Gargantuan Eye Gargantuan Eye (Gargantua)

Horn Cudgel is the has really nice stats for cavalry, giving 42% ATK and 21% DEF. It is also not very costly to make, since it requires just 3 rare materials. However, using the gargantuan eye for making Horn Cudgel takes away material from Gargantuan Belt or Fear Drums. I recommend not making it and working on Eon Axe instead.

4. Frostwing Greatsword
  • Inf ATK 28%
  • Cav ATK 28%
  • Rng ATK 17.5%

Rare Material – 4 x Frostwing HeartFrostwing Heart (Frostwing)

Frostwing Greatsword gives 28% Cav ATK, which is much lesser compared to the other pieces, however it is still great as a starter gear. This piece is cheap to make since frostwing hearts are comparatively easy to get and are not used for making any other material. This can also go in your mix set till you make skullcrusher, so overall it’s a good piece to make.

Off-hand

1. Champion Katar

Rare Material – 2 x Glowing Eye Glowing Eye (Blackwing)

  • Siege ATK 42%
  • Army HP 21%

Rare Material – 8 x Ancient Blueprints Ancient Blueprints (Mecha Trojan)

Firewall Plate is the best non-champ armor for cavalry, giving 42% ATK and 21% HP. It is also the best armor for mix set and can also be used for infantry. Although fairly difficult to make, the good thing is that the Ancient Blueprints are not used in making any other gear.

Gargantuan Belt
  • Cav ATK 52.5%
  • Cav HP 38.5%
  • Army DEF 21%
  • Stone Production 70%

Rare Material – 8 x Gargantuan Eye Gargantuan Eye (Gargantua)

Gargantuan Belt is the best non-champ leg for cavalry, giving a total of 52.5% ATK, 38.5% HP and 21% DEF. It is quite difficult to make, requiring 8 rare materials and even more so because all the cavalry gear requires so much of Gargantuan stuff. However, it is the best option to use. Recommend saving your Gargantuan Eyes for this.

3. Storm Tasset
Storm Tasset
  • Inf ATK 42%
  • Cav ATK 42%
  • Army HP 14%
  • Army DEF 28%

Rare Material – 11 x Glistening Pearl Glistening Pearl (Tidal Titan)

Storm Tasset also has decent stats for cavalry, giving 42% ATK, 14% HP and 28% DEF. It can work as a weaker temporary replacement if you are also making it for your Infantry set. Although even this is very difficult to upgrade.

4. Blizzard Pants

  • Rng ATK 42%
  • Cav ATK 42%
  • Army HP 16.8%
  • Army DEF 14%

Rare Material – 15 x Ambergris Crystal Ambergris Crystal (Arctic Flipper)

Blizzard Pants have almost similar stats as Storm Tasset, giving 42% ATK, 16.8% HP and 14% DEF. However, it is very costly to make requiring 15 rare materials. Recommend skipping it.

Rare Material – 14 x Crimson Mane Crimson Mane

Champion Faith is the best accessory to make for cavalry blast, giving a total of 35% ATK and 35% HP boost. However, it is extremely costly to make requiring 14 rare materials. It has similar stats to the other non-champ accessories, so should only be made if needed for mixed set for wonder wars.

2. Champion Valor
Champion Valor
  • Cav ATK 21%
  • Rng ATK 21%
  • Army ATK 14%
  • Army HP 35%

Rare Material – 14 x Crimson Mane Crimson Mane

Champion Valor has the same stats as Champion Faith, giving a total of 35% ATK and 35% HP boost. It is also extremely costly to make requiring 14 rare materials. Recommend skipping unless making for mix set.

  • Inf HP 21%
  • Cav DEF 28%

Rare Material – 18 x Rotten Blood Rotten Blood (Necrosis)

Book of the Dead also has similar stats but lacks some HP while giving additional defense. It gives 35% ATK and 28% DEF boost for cavalry. This also requires 18 rare materials and is quite costly to make, so recommend skipping it.

6. Fear Drum
Fear Drum
  • Cav ATK 22.4%
  • Sige ATK 14%
  • Cav HP 7.7%
  • Gold Production 49%

Rare Material – 1 x Gargantuan Eye Gargantuan Eye (Gargantua)

Fear Drum has lesser stats than the other pieces, giving 22.4% ATK and 7.7% HP. It diverts material away from Gargantuan Belt, but since it is very cheap requiring just 1 rare material, it is a good starter option for at least 1 or 2 slots while working on Rowdy Resolve.

Ending Notes

Cavalry Gear was very heavily dependent on Gargantuan materials, so it became difficult to build all the pieces at once. However, the gear from the new monster Gawrilla is a good replacement for some pieces, specially since the rare materials for it can now be obtained in the new Labyrinth Challenge. This makes the requirements for the set slightly more balanced.

  1. Hi,
Many thanks for your amazing work on this topic.
However, I don’t understand (and I’ve already seen it on another website) why you included the Frostwing Greatsword on the list of the main hands?

Sure it’s easy to get, but several better weapons exist: Ripper Claw, Nectar Orb, Kraken’s Anchor, .. there’re not as easy as the Greatsword to craft, but if you want to go on a pure cavalery gear, you want to grab every available percent.

Thanks in advance for your reply.

    • Hey, yes there are main hands with better stats available, but they take away rare materials that needs to be used from other important gear pieces. Frostwing greatsword is a good option since frostwing hearts are not used anywhere else and are easy to get too, plus can be used in the mix set.
Ripper claw, Nectar orb and Kraken’s anchor give better stats, but use up rare material needed for Beasthelm, Bumblehelm and Storm Tasset, hence not recommended to make them.

  2. Why did you place by best cav gear non-champ that the rowdy resolve are the best cav blast accesory? I mean the polar rings have higher hp so its better then the rowdy resolve and to add up cav defense doesn’t help to much.

    Thx in advance.

    • Rowdy Resolve and Polar Rings have almost same stats, however Rowdy Resolve requires 9 rare material, whereas Polar Ring requires 18 rare material, making it very expensive to make. That’s why don’t recommend making it.
